Despite the changed landscape in which we now live, we do look forward with optimism for the coming season. Once we were able to repatriate our staff and guests back to their respective homes and countries in March we started to draw focus on what the Winter Season 2020/21 will have in store.
We hope that you, your families and loved ones are all well in these turbulent times. The impact of Covid-19 has been far reaching, and the travel industry has felt the force of the pandemic with immediacy.
As we write we hear of restrictions easing around the world, and we are sure that there will be a keen sense for us to continue visiting new destinations. The desire to experience unforgettable trips with our family and friends will not be abated. Of course we have to be mindful of the ‘new normal’ whatever that may be, but we plan and expect the winter season to be truly special. We maintain our plan, and will be operating beautiful chalets in the Alps next winter. As always, we have a collaborative approach with our Chalet Owners and have been speaking with them at length about the best arrangements for future bookings for next season.
Our current enquiries and bookings to date are keen to secure terms and conditions that provide flexibility and security for clients in this time of uncertainty. Therefore we are taking smaller deposits at time of booking and these deposits will be fully refundable up to September when we hope there will be greater clarity within the travel sector and the world as a whole. Essentially with our amended terms and conditions we hope that this will give you confidence to allow us to plan and arrange your skiing holiday for next season. Our New Temporary Booking Terms and Conditions
We can now offer the following changes to our normal Terms & Conditions. Please note that these changes are only temporary and as soon as new measures and protection are announced we will immediately inform you of any change to our T&C’s.
1.We are asking for a 20% deposit on all chalets booked before the 1st September 2020, paid by bank transfer.
2.That 20% deposit is fully refundable before the 1st September due to any Covid-19 related travel restrictions or any concerns related to Coronavirus that the client may have. That is to say that these early deposits are fully refundable upon request by the client.
3. Alternatively that 20% deposit could be used for another Kaluma Ski Chalet holiday later in the winter season 20/21 (availability dependent) or during season 21/22.
4. After September 1st 2020 our full Terms & Conditions apply. These are under review and will be supplied before 01.09.20. Clients may withdraw from the agreement due to the revised T&Cs anytime up to 01.09.20.
5. If the season does not start due to government directives, FCO Advice, local authority closures that affect skiing, including but not limited to the lift system, or limits access to our destination resorts due to Covid-19, then the 80% of the full amount of the chalet bookings will be refunded. 20% will be retained towards unrecoverable operational costs and administrative costs.
6. For specific chalets, if the holiday is cancelled during the season, or the resort is closed due to local government restrictions then a refund of the remaining 80% of the Chalet Booking shall be returned to the client.
