As another hugely successful winter draws to a close, we are already looking forward to the next! We will soon begin to put our winter 2023/24 team together. This winter we were thrilled to celebrate our 20-year anniversary, 20 years of providing exceptional service and specialising in bespoke ski experiences!

Kaluma is an owner run, luxury chalet company operating in St. Anton, Austria, and Courchevel, France. Two of the best ski resorts in the world. Our chalets are premier properties and our guests are discerning, well-travelled and often high-profile individuals. Kaluma guests have high expectations, which we always aim to exceed by providing a professional service with our own personal twist.

We serve flavoursome and beautifully presented cuisine, tailored to our guests requests and requirements, all served with a smile.

We provide a knowledgeable, personal and unrivalled concierge service to build the perfect trip for every guest. Our service really does make a difference.

Delivering our 5-star service is reliant on our biggest asset, a top notch in-resort operational team who work together to create unforgettable experiences. To be a part of our team it is essential that you are consistently professional in your approach to work. You bring your uniqueness and positive attitude every day and you genuinely care about our guests experience. Teamwork and respect is essential, working closely with your team and management to achieve our goals.

To achieve this, you will have a wealth of hospitality experience to draw on and be willing to develop and adapt your skills in the provision of luxury service. Ideally you have worked in the luxury sector already and would have completed at least one season already.

Being a part of our team is without a doubt hard work, but incredibly rewarding. Our guests are always interesting, and your colleagues will often become lifelong friends.

All our roles are very people centric and naturally offer variety as no two weeks, or group of guests will be the same. To provide our in-resort services you can expect to work split-shifts, with one full day off per week.

If you get your balance right, this more then allows plenty of time to enjoy your seasonal life in the mountains, with all they have to offer. In order to work for us, please note you must hold an EU passport, EU residency card (CDS or EUV 50), or a full EU Working Visa. This is a decision we have not taken lightly, but unfortunately employing UK passport holders is currently not viable for us. The process as it stands is too complex, time consuming, costly and does not provide enough flexibility or guarantees of an actual successful outcome. As an employer we are responsible for applying for work permits for UK passport holders, employees must then apply for a Visa to work in the EU. However the permits present a cost and can be very delayed or denied. The Visa cannot be applied for without the permit and present similar issues for employees. The application is not straight forward, appointments are limited, they cost money and can be denied. With only 5 months to recruit our overseas team we simply do not have the time to gamble on the current process. It is our hope that this changes soon and becomes simpler for both parties so we can expand our recruitment pool. It is frustrating to turn away applications and we understand that is disappointing and frustrating for UK passport holders as well.
