At Kaluma, we all have families and can truly appreciate the great value of family ski holidays. Time spent altogether, enjoying all the resorts have to offer can quite often be a priceless part of any holiday. However, we also appreciate the need to get the very best out of the holiday for everyone involved! Parents and children alike.
Richard (our director) and Georgina have two lovely children (and lovely skiers) aged 10 – 13 and ski several weeks every year in Courchevel, so are perfectly placed to discuss anything family orientated in terms of French resorts.
Andy (our other director) and Lucy have two boys aged 5 – 7 who are both learnt to ski in St Anton. They live in St Anton and enjoy all the children’s facilities available in the winter and summer! No one is better placed to discuss the first time family ski trip than them!
Family Friendly Advice
In terms of both Courchevel and St Anton, both are well equipped for family visits. Not only in terms of:
- excellent ski schools and ski kindergartens
- fantastically friendly private instructors and groups lessons
- ski races, snow parks, fun parks, snow playgrounds
- easy access to slopes and/or private drivers to make it easy as possible
- excellent ski shops with child friendly, quality and safe ski equipment
- access to excellent child care
- supermarkets with child / baby sections
- baby food, child friendly food, snacks
- nappies, wipes and even some clothing
- toy shops for last minute purchases
Our chalets also have:
- baby cots
- child dining seats / high chairs
- toy boxes
- apple TV and Netflix with limitless children’s films and cartoons
- child friendly car seats / baby seats (when requested)

If you aren’t bringing your own nanny with you then let us help take the stress out of your holiday.
Please let our concierge team know that you will be requiring a nanny or babysitter and we will organise the very best care that the resort has to offer.
We work with registered childcare companies. In St Anton we work with Alpine Angels and in Courchevel with Meri Nannies. We also have an extensive local network of qualified childminders, nannies and registered babysitters, so you can rest assured we would not be recommending anyone we would not leave our own children with.
Therefore, the earlier we can arrange this for you, the better for everyone involved. Our nannies are there to work for you, to make sure your holiday is a smooth as possible and your children have the best possible time and receive the best care and attention and most importantly, have the most fun.
