Good to Know

Le Fitz Roy is brilliantly located at the Rond Point des Pistes at the heart of the highest resort in Europe.
The Best … convenience with shops, bars, skiing and skidoos literally on your doorstep.

The Hotel

The location of Le Fitz Roy is unbeatable for the Three Valley ski area. Situated in the middle of the resort, the ski slopes are just through the door of the ski room.

As you walk through the door, you get the feeling of calm, which comes across through the warm and neutral interiors. If you are looking for opulent wow, this isn’t it. We love the soft and muted tones and blend of wood and stone. A perfect fit for a hotel that immerses guests in a winter mountain experience – especially when the snowstorms come in.

Imagine yourself with your feet up by the fireplace, settled comfortably in the library or cozily cosseted away in your room.

Outside, the terrace provides an uninterrupted view of the surrounding peaks; inside, the timeless surroundings, quality of service and excellent art of hospitality come together to create an authentic home from home vibe.

The Resort

Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in Europe is an exceptional destination for a winter holiday. With its stunning location at 2,300 meters above sea level, Val Thorens boasts panoramic views, snow-sureness, and immediate access to the Three Valleys which is the world’s largest interconnected ski area.

This variety of terrain caters to both beginners and experts, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

The village itself is charming, offering a mix of modern amenities and Alpine charm, making it a delightful place to unwind after a day on the slopes. There’s a lively après-ski scene. Some of our favourites are The Folie Douce (in our opinion better than the Meribel Folie Douce), and La Pandora.

Additionally, Val Thorens offers various non-ski activities, such as snowshoeing, spas, and even ice driving. Its breathtaking mountain views and crisp mountain air make it a fantastic choice for a winter holiday.

  • Over 600kms of pisted routes in the Three Valleys
  • High-snow record from November – May
  • Val Thorens village altitude at 2,300m
  • Fun apres-ski
  • Suited to all levels of skiers
