Good to Know

The word ‘Chedi’ means temple in Thai. Pure Alpine-Asian luxury at its best.
The Best …for off-piste skiing. Oh, and you might meet James Bond in the bar. It's that kind of place.

The Hotel

The Chedi Andermatt perfectly combines authentic Alpine Chic with Asian design elements. The five-star deluxe hotel has 123 spacious rooms and suites in which traditional materials, such as warm woods and natural stone, create a stylish and intimate atmosphere.

The culinary experience at The Chedi is a gastronomic statement itself and offers you the opportunity to choose from five fantastic settings.

In the amazing spa, which cover over 2,400 sq.m, you can find total peace and relaxation.

The rooms and suites have been carefully decorated with stunning views over the Gemsstock, the village of Andermatt, the Schollenen gorge, the Natschen and the Oberalp area. Dark Alpine wood, soft leather armchairs, cosy sofas, panorama windows and fireplaces bring the magic of the mountain landscape into the comfortable, spacious rooms.

The Resort

Located in the canton of Uri in Switzerland, Andermatt boasts a stunning alpine landscape characterized by towering peaks, lush meadows, and pristine lakes. Its unique location at the convergence of four mountain passes – Gotthard, Oberalp, Furka, and St. Gotthard – has earned it the nickname “the Swiss crossroads”, and also enables it to have one of the best snow records in the Alps with skiing typically from late November through until mid April.

Andermatt boasts an impressive array of ski slopes catering to all levels of skiers, from beginners to seasoned experts. The Andermatt-Sedrun ski area has over 120 kilometers across 2 ski areas (Gemsstock and Natschen) of lovely, groomed pistes. Gemsstock is featured heavily in powder magazines as a bucket-list destination for steep and deep north face skiing.

The gentler Natschen ski area is on the sunnier side of town, closer and more accessible from The Chedi, and is better suited for intermediate skiers.

Andermatt’s unique blend of natural beauty and alpine charm makes it a sought-after destination for those seeking a serene escape in the Swiss Alps, whether for outdoor adventures, relaxation, or both. With its friendly atmosphere and breathtaking scenery, Andermatt truly captures the essence of Switzerland’s alpine splendor.
