Kaluma is an owner managed, boutique, luxury ski chalet operator working exclusively in St Anton am Arlberg and Courchevel 1850, two of the best ski resorts in the world. Resort Manager Courchevel
You will oversee and manage all aspects of Kaluma’s resort operations in Courchevel 1850. This includes the running of clean, efficient and cost-effective chalets, whilst maintaining staff welfare and managing resort finances and budgets. The ultimate objective is to ensure a smooth and successful operation whilst providing exemplary holidays that exceed our guest’s expectations.

Requirements:
Minimum age of 28 years. Management experience with other ski tour operators, preferably in the luxury market, including at least one season in Courchevel. A background in high-end hospitality or hotel services, with an exacting eye for detail. Proficient French Language skills. Full clean driving license.

Head Host, St Anton
The main duties of the role are as outlined below. This is not an exhaustive statement of the duties required, employees may be required to assist by performing duties normally undertaken by others.
OBJECTIVE
To oversee all aspects of chalet operations, running a clean, efficient, and cost-effective chalet. For example, conducting inventories and producing team rotas. To supervise the chalet team, maintaining staff welfare and standards of service by running shifts and controlling quality. The ultimate objective is to ensure a smooth and successful operation, to provide exemplary holidays that exceed our guest’s expectations. As part of your role as a Head Host you will be the main point of contact for guests during their stay and provide in resort concierge.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
– Solid experience with other ski tour operators, preferably in the luxury market, including at least one winter season
– A background in high-end hospitality or hotel services, with an exacting eye for detail
– Proficient English Language skills with conversational German an advantage
– EU passport, EU residency or EU work permit / visa
– Full clean driving license

Chef
Kaluma places a lot of emphasis on the quality of food we provide. For our guests, the food in their luxury chalet is often as important as the skiing and we believe that what we offer sets us apart from our competitors.
All chefs working in Kaluma catered chalets are experienced professionals, hired due to their professionalism and experience in the industry. We provide a generous budget and allow our chefs menu autonomy, expecting in return well-balanced, flavoursome and beautifully presented dishes, catering to specific needs and requirements. Our chefs must be team players, helping with all aspect of kitchen, chalet and team life.
Requirements: Over 25 with solid experience in luxury fine dining (think boutique restaurants, super yachts, chalets, private dining etc..). A recognised qualification in professional cookery and/or a training background in high end professional kitchens.

Kitchen Assistant (St Anton Only)
Our Kitchen Assistants work closely with the chef in our larger chalets to cater for between 20 – 30 guests. You will assist with breakfast service, eventually running some breakfast services. Prepare afternoon tea and help with dinner prep / service. As well as helping to run an efficient, safe and clean kitchen by cleaning, conducting checks and storing and organising deliveries. Training and guidance will be given by the chef.
This is the ideal role for someone wanting to develop and learn within a professional kitchen environment with a focus on private dinning. The shift pattern is similar to chalet hosts, working mornings and evenings with time off during the day. Please see the chef job description for more insight.
Requirements: Over 21 years of age, a working background or training in catering, previous summer/winter season experience, a love of food and desire to offer the best service to your guests.

Chalet Host
The Chalet Host is Kaluma’s most guest facing position, they are the face of the company, interacting with guests on a daily basis delivering the personal service-style for which we have become known for. We look for enthusiastic candidates, with can-do attitudes and a desire to ensure every guest has the holiday of a lifetime. Chalet Hosts are responsible for the day-to-day running of all front of house duties, carried out with the upmost professionalism.
Main duties and responsibilities:
– Service: The set up and service of breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal.
– Housekeeping: Maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the chalet, including daily cleaning of guest bedrooms, bathrooms and all communal areas, including toilets, living room, wellness areas.
– Guest relations: Socialising with chalet guests, offering resort knowledge and creating an ambiance in the chalet where the guests feel welcome and relaxed at all times
Requirements: Over 21 years of age, a working background or training in high-end hospitality, previous summer/winter season experience, a desire to offer the best service to your guests.

Driver
To provide a safe, informative and reliable driving service within resort. In this very customer facing position you will also be required to help with in-chalet operations, external guests, maintenance, resort logistics and support work. The ultimate objective is to provide exceptionally high standards of customer service, to ensure exemplary holidays which exceed our guest’s expectations. A real all-rounders role – crucial to our success.
Requirements: A full, clean drivers licence held for at least 5 years, over 25, a background in high-end hospitality, previous summer/winter season experience, professional driving experience and/or experience driving larger long-wheel-based vehicles in mountainous/rural areas, experience of basic maintenance and DIY.
